Niagara Admissions - History
Celebration Bible College (CBC) is a Bible School with a mandate. It has a God-given vision that propels it to accomplish and be all all that God intended it to be. CBC is dynamic and living, fulfilling what God has commanded it. In attendance are men and women filled with fire and zeal that will take the gospel to all parts of the earth. Jesus said, "And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations (ethnic groups) and then the end will come." Matt 24:14
The Holy Spirit is drawing men and women from the United States, every province of Canada and many nations of the world to be part of what God is doing in St Catharines.
In 1987, God directed Peter Youngren to open a Bible School. In September, 1988, Celebration Bible College began. It started with only eleven students at a converted motel in Niagara Falls, moved to St. Catharines to a rented facility, then to an auto repair shop, soon after this, a large house in Thorold became a temporary home for the Bible School. The first few years were challenging but God was faithful. Most of those students from the first year class are working in full-time ministry today.
By 1990, Celebration Bible College had moved to another rented facility to accommodate the growth. A local church opened its doors to us and there we saw the numbers grow from thirty-one to sixty-six by April 1993.
In September, 1993, the new ministry headquarters at 310 Scott Street, St. Catharines in Niagara was opened. Finally we had our own building and cafeteria. God demonstrated His hand upon this school again as we saw the student enrolment leap to one hundred and eighteen in 1993. In September 2001, the Toronto Campus opened for part-time evening courses. Today the school continues to grow; God's hand of blessing has never lifted. He is truly doing great things in our midst.
